Online subscription with hardware binding, volume licence for teams. Last updated: 29 August 2026.
Overview
1. Overview
The software uses an online subscription licensing system with hardware binding.
Each licence is linked to a specific Hardware ID (HW-ID). An online licence validation is required at least every 14 days. If there is no internet connection, the software can be used offline for up to 14 days.
Available Licence Models
2. New Licences
New licences are available for the successor, AnyAutomation Studio: see the AnyAutomation Studio plans.
An existing Pro+ subscription of TIA Openness Manager is recognised in AnyAutomation Studio; all other plans are shown on anyautomation.ch. Existing subscriptions keep running and are managed through the Stripe Customer Portal (see section 4).
Activation & Validation
3.1 Initial Activation
- Sign in to your account at https://www.tiaopenessmanager.ch (email and one-time code)
- Install AnyAutomation Studio (Windows 10/11, x64)
- Sign in with the same account in the software
- Hardware binding happens automatically on first sign-in
- The software is enabled according to your subscription
3.2 Licence Validation
Online validation:
- Occurs automatically at least every 14 days
- The software contacts the licence server
- Checks: licence status, subscription validity
Offline mode (up to 14 days):
- The software works without an internet connection
- The last validation is saved locally
- After 14 days, online validation is required again
3.3 Hardware Binding
- Each licence is bound to a unique Hardware ID of your device
- Hardware switches are supported: up to 3 switches per rolling 30 days (e.g. new laptop, hardware failure)

Subscription Management
4.1 Automatic Renewal
- Subscriptions renew automatically
- Billing is processed through Stripe
- Cancellation possible at any time
4.2 Cancellation
Via the Stripe Customer Portal:
- Receive the email with the "Manage Subscription" link
- Click the link: the Stripe Customer Portal opens
- Cancel the subscription
After cancellation:
- The licence remains active until the end of the paid period
- After that the software is deactivated
- Local data is preserved
- Reactivation is possible at any time
4.3 Plan Change
- Plan change, or switch between monthly and yearly billing: via the Stripe Customer Portal (link in the email footer or in your account under
/profile) - Volume licence: the Org Owner manages seats in the web portal under
/profile/org

Volume Licensing for Teams
How it works
- The Org Owner holds N seats of the organisation (new seats are bought on anyautomation.ch)
- Assign seats via email invite at
/profile/org - The user accepts the invite and creates their own account
- Hardware binding happens on first sign-in
Org roles:
- Owner: manages seats and billing
- Member: uses an assigned seat
Seat transfer: the Owner can revoke a seat from one user (hardware-release cycle) and reassign it.
Floating / concurrent-user licences are not offered.

5. Trial Version (30 Days)
New trials start in AnyAutomation Studio:
- 30 days with the full feature set
- No credit card required
- Bound to the Hardware ID (1 trial per device)
- Email address required
After the trial expires:
- The software runs only with a subscription; the plans are on anyautomation.ch
Trial limit:
- 1 trial per email address
- 1 trial per Hardware ID
6. Restrictions & Prohibitions
The licensee may not:
- Use the licence on multiple devices simultaneously
- Transfer the licence to third parties
- Manipulate or falsify the Hardware ID
- Bypass or disable the licence verification
- Share account credentials
In case of misuse:
- Immediate licence suspension
- No refund
- Legal action possible
7. Refund Policy
Subscriptions:
- No refund for ongoing periods
- Cancellation stops future charges
- Access until the end of the paid period

8. Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods (via Stripe):
- Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, WeChat Pay
- More: Klarna, Bancontact, EPS
Currency: Swiss francs
9. Check Licence Status
In AnyAutomation Studio:
- The licence status is shown in the status bar and in the accounts menu
Online:
- Your account at
/profile: subscription status, hardware binding - Stripe Customer Portal (link via email): next payment, invoices
